Site Updates

I was going to make a switch to another webhosting because I didn’t see “Let’s Encrypt” in the cPanel. While searching for something I came across a video that shows how it’s done, and it’s now activated. I just need to remind myself to renew the certificate every 90 days, at no cost. Now I can have peace of mind when logging into the site while on the go if I ever need to.

Also, having HTTPS means that there’s a possibility that the comment section and user registrations will be open in the future, depending on how things go. Currently I’m the only one managing this site, and I’m not ready to handle the spams and hacking yet. And not having to deal with these, it means that I can devote the time that I have to making posts that are worth reading and considering.

I also came across OceanWP and Elementor. Currently I’m using the free version, which has all that I need for now. Font-end technology has come a long way! I’m a minimalist who likes to keep things simple and clean, and it took me two days playing around to get this look.

Old posts will need to be updated so that images are fetched from HTTPS and not HTTP.
