I’m not a fast reader, but I do enjoy reading whenever I have the chance.
There are books I actually read through from front to back. Since I’m a visual learner and can pick things up very quick on a subject that I’m very familiar with already (art for example), I tend to fast read if the book is image heavy. The thing with art books is that after you read a few, and after a while, you tend to pick things up very quick because art books usually say / teach the same things over again and again, with each artist putting their own little twist to it. Nothing is new under the sun.
WHERE I GET MY BOOKS
Here in Toronto, there are three BMV Bookstores. I often visit them to see what I might find. Since it mainly sells [used books], it’s a hit and miss for those looking for good art books. Recently I got Framed Perspective Vol. 1 & 2 by Marcos Mateu-Mestre (in good condition) for a very good deal, but you don’t always find books like this.
Another place I get books is Toronto Public Library. A lot of good books can be borrowed.
And last, I only order books online [if] the book is soo helpful that I want to keep it, and I know it’s helpful after borrowing it from the library.
Have Read / Skimmed Through
This is not a list of recommendation, but a list of books I have read [or] skimmed through.
Books currently not in my collection.
