“Trust the Science!”

It’s not wrong to trust the experts and those that are highly educated. If I ever need an operation you can be sure that I wouldn’t want an untrained person to do the job. We all want what’s best for us, and would look to the “experts” and those equipped for the task. This is good old common sense which is why we don’t just put anyone into a position of authority (1 Tim 3:6) when it comes to church government. A recent convert needs to be taught well before he can teach and lead others.

The first problem, however, is that [Evil] exists, and Evil knows that we look to leaders, experts and those of great influence. It’s in our nature to follow and be led—a picture of Christ the Shepherd and His sheep—which is why when evil comes to us, it comes masquerading and disguising itself as very “good,” even an “authority figure” (2 Cor 11:14-15). It comes as medical experts, celebrities and people with influence tickling our ears, “with her enticing speech she caused him to yield, with her flattering lips she seduced him. Immediately he went after her, as an ox goes to the slaughter, or as a fool to the correction of the stocks, till an arrow struck his liver. As a bird hastens to the snare, he did not know it would cost his life.” (Prov 7:21-23). As Christians we are trained to discern evil, and we are not the “simple” who “believes every word” but the “prudent” who “considers well his steps” (Prov 14:15). Our attitude should be that of Paul when it comes to people of great influence, “those who seemed to be something—whatever they were, it makes no difference to me” (Gal 2:6 cf. Matt 22:16; Luke 20:21; 1 Cor 1:26-29, 3:18-23). God does not judge according to appearance (1 Sam 16:7), and neither should we! Those that do are not wise (2 Cor 10:12) because the characters, motive and intention of the heart are often hidden (1 Tim 5:24-25; Prov 20:5). We learn of this in First Samuel [16:7]. Samuel saw only Eliab’s (David’s brother) appearance and physical stature. God was right in rejecting Eliab as we learn in the next chapter (17:28). We must look beyond the physical, and what people present themselves as and judge not according to appearance but truth and righteousness (John 7:24).

The second problem is that not all “experts” agree on everything. When this is the case we allow them to have an open discussion and or debate. But Evil in charge of big techs and mainstream media do not want discussions and debates, because Evil knows that it can’t thrive where there is light and counsel (John 3:20; Prov 11:14). Proverbs [18:17] teaches us that the “one who states his case first seems right, until the other comes and examines him.” (ESV). Evil is right in its own eyes, and does not like to be examined and will paint itself as “the authority.” It will censor and suppress all others because it knows that people can discern and choose what’s best when both sides are presented fairly and honestly. It is after considering and weighting both sides that understanding comes, and as Christians, it is the Lord who gives us discernment and we know that He has our best interest at heart (2 Tim 2:7; Php 3:15).

As Christians we are to be discerning and not quick to believe whatever that is out there or even within our own circle (Ex 23:1-3; Ac 17:21; 1 Tim 5:13). Notice that I said “not quick to believe.” We are to be quick to listen as James would say (Jam 1:19; Prov 18:13), but we are not quick to believe! Eve was quick to believe when she should have been quick to hear. She got outsmarted by Evil (cf. 2 Cor 2:11) because she didn’t check in with Adam before believing that Deceiver (Gen 3:4). It is right to seek the advice and counsel of the learned, but it’s not wise nor discerning to believe that titles and credentials are everything. By all means, “Trust the Science.” But be aware that when Evil says “Trust the Science” what it means is “trust my experts’ [interpretation] of the Science because they have my best interest at heart, not yours. Don’t listen to anyone else.” That, my friends, is the danger! God and His word are above all things (Psa 138:2) and Evil wants to take that place, and “Trust the Science” is one of its ways of getting there.

Here are a few examples of why it’s prudent to not be quick to believe what the “experts” are saying:

Notice the blatant contradiction with the last two links.

Who, which group or organization runs the world? To be honest, I have absolutely no idea. If you research and ask around you might have a list: Illuminati, Freemason, Life Insurance etc… But is that really accurate? And how do you know you’re not being tricked into believing so and so is running the world? What if it’s all a distraction? When we ask the lost world who JESUS is they’ll come up with many conflicting responses. It’s no difference when we ask them who’s pulling the strings. Depending on who you ask, there will be many conflicting answers as well. Some will even say Aliens or Reptilians!

What if I told you that it doesn’t matter, and that labels, groups and organizations are there to distract and keep you blind from seeing the real Enemy who is not flesh and blood (Eph 6:12)? God in His wisdom didn’t put a label or name names in His Book because He knows our Enemy much better than we do, and He doesn’t want us to be fixated on a certain or specific group because they could easily change their identity. Instead, He gets right to the root: “We wrestle not against flesh and blood,” and this helps us to discern the spirit behind every group or organization under the Sun. It doesn’t matter what the name or label is because behind them all it’s the same spirit of the antichrist because, “He who is not with Me is against Me.”

We can’t see the wind, but its effect can be seen and observed (John 3:8). Similarly, we can’t see the spirit(s) that is operating behind all these groups, but we can see and observe its doctrines and influences in society. The god of this world has an agenda and will form groups and organizations to bring about it. A group, even an individual, might appear to be harmless on the surface but in reality could be carrying out the agenda of the Evil one that the Bible speaks of—either knowingly or unknowingly! In other words, from a human’s point of view, many groups can appear to be unrelated and even opposing one another but in reality could be serving the same master when looking at it spiritually. Left vs Right paradigm, for example, are two wings of the same bird.

I’m not a conspiracy researcher and I consider myself uneducated, according to worldly standards (1 Cor 1:26). But I can tell you this: If you study and know your Bible then you won’t be deceived that easily (1 John 2:14). This is why we must pay close attention to doctrines and test them. Satan can put on many different hats but his doctrines can’t be hidden for long because out of the abundant of his heart he will speak and evangelize the lost world through the sons of disobedient, and fill this earth with his doctrine (Revelation 12:9).

“If you wish to know the mind of a man, listen to his words.” —Chinese Proverbs

“The tongue exists to reveal our hearts.” —John Calvin

The doctrine will reveal the true nature of any group or organization. They might say they have none, but don’t be deceived. Everyone is preaching a “gospel,” and that gospel either points us to or away from the true and living God.

“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world…” (1 John 4)

Notice how spirit is mentioned first and then “false prophets.” This is because false prophets are guided by seducing spirit(s) (cf. 1 Kings 22:21-23; Micah 2:11 NKJV; Ac 16:16-18). False prophets are operating under “another spirit” which preaches “another Jesus” and “gospel” (2 Cor 11:4).

“By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God…” The point is: Get to know God and His doctrines so that you can discern! Do not waste time going down rabbit holes. Yes we can look into things a bit to get an idea, but be watchful that you’re not consumed by it. The way we go about fighting this is not by exposing and researching all these organizations, but to bring the true light of the Gospel into this dark world. It’s what Jesus and Paul did. Wherever they went, they filled the place with their doctrines. In a confused world, what is needed most is truth and clarity. As Christians, we must know God and His truth if we are to be a true guide to the lost and confused. Demons manifest and reveal themselves when the true Christ shows up. True Light exposes darkness. To give a few practical examples:

  • MGTOW: This group seems to be harmless. They just want to mind their own business and go their own way. But when you pause and observe carefully, there is a hidden “doctrine” that it’s promoting. The people in this group aren’t aware that they’re being led by the spirit of antichrist, “forbidding to marry” (1 Timothy 4:1-3). “Stay away from marriage!” is the beating drum of this group.
  • Veganism: There’s nothing wrong with not eating meat, but when a movement or group is formed around and promoting this hidden “doctrine” of “meat is bad” you can be sure that something is going on. Again, see 1 Timothy 4:1-5.
  • UFO/Alien: What are Aliens? Who are they? I’m not a ufologist, and didn’t spend years studying or researching it. But let me ask you: What is the hidden “doctrine” of these so-called Aliens? Once you have the answer to that, you’ll begin to see that it’s the same spirit behind MGTOW, Veganism and many others.

There are many more examples I can list, but the point is this: All conspiracies are conSPIRITcies. To reiterate what I said earlier: It doesn’t matter what the name or label is because behind them all it’s the same spirit of the antichrist, “He who is not with Me is against Me.” Whether they realize it or not, secret Groups and Organizations are formed for that very purpose: To wage war against Christ and His people (Dan 7:25; Psa 2).

In these last days, what we need is not more information, but discernment. Satan is the great Deceiver and he works through the sons of disobedient—unbelievers (Ephesians 2:2). Pause for a moment and really think about the ramification of that. Really think about it. We do not war against flesh and blood (Ephesians 6:12), but against spirits and ideologies. In other words, doctrines of demons (2 Timothy 4:1). This is why we need to have the mind of Christ. This is why we need to bathe ourselves in the Scripture of Truth. This is why we need to search the Scriptures daily to see if these things are so.
